3Tech (Hong Kong) Ltd was established in Hong Kong 1998. 3Tech initially dedicated to distributing diesel generator sets of world-known manufacturer like Cummins and FG Wilson, covers Southern China market, and gradually the entire area of China.

In 2005, 3Tech again successfully became the major genset supplier for Huawei, supplying thousands of genset to developing countries every year. We take this opportunity to develop our after-sales service team as a communication channel to build up close relationship with our end-users - Telecommunication Operators.

In the early 21st century, the construction of 3G communication network in developing countries has provided an opportunity for Multinational companies like ZTE and Huawei to make a big leap forward. 3Tech grab this chance to deliver products and services to telecom operators, gradually gaining experience on technical and functional requirements of the telecom power system, projects cover more than 50 countries around the world.

We have started to supply the LionRock® specialized telecom generator sets since 2007. Thanks to our product’s cost-performance ratio, function and quality, we’ve earned trust and reputation from many telecom operators, 3Tech won the best global supplier corporation awards issued by ZTE and Huawei. Initially, genset designed by LionRock® was commissioned to produce by OEM manufacturers. Without our own factory, the delivery schedule and quality control cannot be guaranteed. With that reason, 3Tech began to develop our own factory in Dongguan.

In 2012, 3Tech Power (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. formally established. With years of project and product experience, LionRock® products have earned reputation from many multinational operators and became the main power generator sets supplier for ZTE and Huawei overseas base station. DC48V output power supply system has obtained several design and invention patents. In 2015, 3Tech Dongguan has obtained National High-Tech enterprise Certificate issued by the government, with access to different national subsidies and tax benefits.

At the end of 2016, considering its overseas market expansion strategy, Tellhow Sci-Tech Co., Ltd. inject capital investment in 3Tech, occupying 39% of company’s shares. By sharing resources from Tellhow, 3Tech has more bargaining power against supplier, product competitiveness has been improved.

OwlEye® Remote monitoring system with cloud integrated control and monitoring features, collect data from connected devices, to achieve real-time energy usage monitoring, environmental control, access control as well as security control.

In the following years, 3Tech successfully supplied hybrid power solution for relatively small project including Oman Telecom, Iraq’s Asiacell project and Indonesia telecom project. At the end of 2019, we’ve successfully completed Algeria Telecom project with a contract value of 7 million US dollars. Followed by that, 3Tech officially awarded another Algeria Telecom Mobilis 37 million US dollar project, 50% of delivery have been completed.

Following the future of 5G, in addition to providing existing base station power systems, we will also take part in micro base station power systems (known as Blade Power). Nonetheless, in the era of big data, it is inevitable to get involved in the supply of data centre power system products. With the advantages of the development of the Greater Bay Area, we strive to improve product R&D, production and service capabilities.

Announced in 2013, the “The Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative” (BRI) aims to strengthen China’s connectivity with the world. This is an important national development strategy which promotes co-operation among countries and regions in areas of policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade and financial integration.

BRI is a long-term plan, the above aims are still under planning phases. While it may be many years before the success of the BRI, it certainly has the potential to strengthen economic and political bonds throughout the region. Under the framework of the “Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative”, 3Tech will make greater effort to participate in global telecommunication base station projects in the future.
