“Maxchief Investments Ltd.” is a holding company with its origins in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The company has industrial plants in Mainland China, engaged primarily in the manufacture of office, garden and contract furniture. It set up “Dongguan Shichang Metals Factory Ltd.” in August 1994 (65,000 m²) and “ZHUHAI SHICHANG METALS LTD.” in May 2010 (190,000 m2), where the holding company’s main offices are currently found.

Maxchief Europe S.L. was established in August 2008 as the holding company’s sales and marketing subsidiary in Barcelona, one of the world’s benchmark cities for industrial design, innovation and creativity.

The Maxchief holding company, through its companies based in Zhuhai, China and in Barcelona, Spain has two different brands, targeting two different markets.

ZOWN targets the professional market, in other words, the hotel and restaurant industry.

NEWSTORM targets the household market through the main retailers.

Following ten years of proven success on the international market, ZOWN has renewed its entire CLASSIC Collection. The modernised range of products has been renamed the NEW ZOWN CLASSIC COLLECTION. It features aesthetic, technical and ergonomic improvements and is manufactured in a new shark grey colour that replaces the traditional light grey shade.

The new ZOWN PREMIUM Collection features lightweight folding furniture for professional use at banquets and events, but also, and in particular, for the hotel and restaurant industry. Due to its revolutionary design, even with no skirting, the table is aesthetically pleasing for hotel and restaurant settings. Even when left uncovered, the table is beautiful.

NEWSTORM is the Maxchief brand oriented towards the large-scale distribution of household products. MAXCHIEF boasts the widest range of multi-functional folding chairs, benches and tables on the market.

Most of our competitors in Asia offer products that are visually very similar to our Newstorm and Zown (former) Classic Collection. However, ZOWN and NEWSTORM only use 100% pure (first generation) high-density polyethylene, without mixing it with reused plastics. Along with UV protection, this lends the product a unique quality. Furthermore, our factory complies with all labour, environmental and quality standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

The quality of the high-density polyethylene used in Zown and Newstorm yields the following advantages:
1. Being pure and 100% new (not reused) provides excellent shock resistance even at low temperatures. It also aids traceability and eliminates the likelihood of containing toxic elements.
2. It is impermeable, lightweight and flexible.
3. It possesses excellent heat and chemical resistance, and tensile strength.
