Triangle Tyre Co Ltd, formally known as the Weihai Tire Plant, was established in 1976. Triangle Tyre Co., Ltd. is the leader of technology innovation in China, and is known as the initiator and pioneer of low-carbon and green development in the Chinese tire industry.

The Company has established a distribution network in over 180 countries and regions all over the world and has established sales and service branches in North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia, Southeast Asia, Middle and East Africa, Russia, and India.

Triangle is a national hi-tech enterprise and a key organization in the China Tyre Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (CTITISA). It has established three innovation platforms (national enterprise technology center, national engineering laboratory and national industrial design center) as well as one overseas R&D organization (US Akron R&D Center). In addition to this, Triangle is also one of the major drafting units of related national standards and industrial standards.

Triangle’s Giant Engineering Radial Tire Manufacturing Technology and Equipment Development Project has been awarded the First Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress.

Triangle Tyres comply to the official standards and certification requirements around the world, including CCC, ECE, DOT, INMETRO, LATU, GSO, SNI, etc.

In China, the Company directly provides supporting services to over 50 automobile manufacturers such as Sinotruk, FAW Jiefang, Dongfeng Motor, Jinlong Bus, Yutong Bus, Zhongtong Bus, SAIC-GM-Wuling, FAW Car, Zhengzhou Nissan, Changan Suzuki, Jiangling Motors as well as several construction machinery manufacturers such as Lingong , Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion and Qingdao Lovol and has established global cooperation with Caterpillar, Terex, Doosan, Hyundai, Volvo, etc.
