Hongjitang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was founded in 1907 with 100 years of history. It is known as one of the 21 Key Chinese Medicine Enterprises and one of the Top 50 among Chinese Medicine Industry with the rights of export and import. In 1991, Hongjitang got the honor of "Shandong High and New Technology Enterprise". In 1995, the Ministry of Domestic Trade honored it as "China's Time-honored Brand Enterprise". In 2006, our company is approved by the Ministry of Commerce as "China's Time-honored Brand" (Approval No.:15003).
Hongjitang experienced many times of changes in history, from "Hongjitang", "Hongjitang Pharmaceutical Factory", and "Jinan People's Pharmaceutical Factory" to "Shandong Jinan Chinese Pharmaceutical Factory". In 1999, Hongjitang was reorganized into the present enterprise "Hongjitang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.". In October 2002, Hongjtiang was integrated with Linuo Group. Now, Hongjitang has become one of 40 profit and tax enterprises, and obtained the honor of "Shandong Famous and Quality Enterprise" and "Shandong Advanced Units of Civilization". Its brand "Hongjitang" was regarded as "Famous Brand" in 2005 and as "Chinese Famous Trademark" in 2006. In 2003, Hongjitang passed GMP Certificate; in 2004, passed GSP Certificate; and in 2005, passed the certificate of ISO9001 (Certificate of Quality Management System Certification), ISO14001 (Certificate of Environmental Management System Certification) and ISO18000 (Certificate of Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification). In 2006, Hongjitang got the honor of reputation prestige AAA class unit of Jinan City.
Hongjitang covers an area of more than 102 Mu with the floor space of 45,000 square meters, which costs 170 million RMB. In December 2003, Hongjitang passed GMP Certification initially.
Hongjitang has four main warehouses, that's Preliminary Warehouse, Extracting Warehouse, Preparation Warehouse and Muscone Warehouse. The Preliminary Warehouse covers an area of 8600 square meters with the annual concocting capacity of 4000 tons. Extracting Warehouse covers an area of 6500 square meters with the extracting capacity of 2000 tons and powdering capacity of 2000 tons. Preparation Warehouse covers an area of 16600 square meters with the cleaning area of 5400 square meters. Eleven types of dosage forms including tablet, capsule, granule, oral solution, and honeyed pill are produced in this warehouse with the annual capacity of 3000 million in tablets, 500 million in capsules and 10 million sachets of granules. Muscone Warehouse covers an area of 4300 square meters. It could produce 300 kg of muscone annually, which is a product with high technology and high added-value. Now this warehouse is known as the biggest Muscone production base in Asia and the unique in China.
Hongjitang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has a provincial technology center, named Jinan Chinese Medicine Research Institute. More than 95% researchers are graduate students and undergraduate students. Meanwhile, it has established an industry-study-research system with many famous universities. The company makes and sells 11 kinds of dosage forms and 140 types of GUOYAO ZHUNZI products.
Jinan Hongjitang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has a national marketing network, which covers all provinces and territories except Tibet and Taiwan.
