             The tea planting base of Yiyang agriculture has an average altitude of 1800 meters.            The national brand "Buyi Girl Tea" created by Yiyang agriculture is named according to its historical origin. Most of the tea mountain is surrounded by ethnic minorities, especially Buyi. In ancient times, girl tea was a very rare kind of tribute tea. Girl tea was a kind of fresh tea buds picked by unmarried and pure women of Buyi Nationality on the mountain and put into a close cloth bag in their arms. Then, after going back to stir fry to keep the tea at a certain temperature, one piece of tea is folded into a cone, which is dried in the sun, and then processed by ancestral technology, a roll of cone-shaped "girl tea" is made. Girl's tea has special taste, fragrant and mellow beauty. It also has the effect of clearing heat and refreshing, removing fire and ventilating. The Pegasus Tea Plantation and Legends

           Long Tianyou (August 10, 1644 to April 12, 1690), Yi nationality, a hereditary chieftain, submitted to the government of Qing in the 18th year under the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1679). Soon he was granted the title of General Duke for his contribution to the military expedition against Wu Sangui. After he died, he was conferred a posthumous title of Imperial Minister of State Left Governor and enjoyed the treatment for First Rank Officials.

           Long had 49 tumors on his body, so he was considered as ugly. He was thus kept away from everything. However, a small snake came in and out of his nostrils to protect him. As long as the snake was with him, he was invulnerable to any weapon.
        
            One day, he went to a dinner with other guys. After the dinner, all guests stood up and left. He went to the courtyard and gave a glimpse at the stable of the host where he saw a lean and dirty pony. Seeing someone coming, the pony shouted in a low voice, but it was loud enough to shock the heaven and earth, which could only be observed by the real master. Long Tianyou identified it as a good horse, so he asked the host to give it to him. Taking no pity on the pony, the host agreed. Long pulled the horse to a deep pool and washed it. The pool was called Horse Washing Pond by later generations (which is now in Jiuying Town). As soon as the horse saw the water, a miracle happened. The horse kept growing while being washed. After a short while, it grew into a tall horse. Wild with joy, he jumped onto the back of the horse, as the magic horse jumped and soared into the sky. On its back, he seemed to fly in the air. The horse galloped as quickly as a flash. After a while, he returned home. The horse stamped on a huge rock as it landed on the ground. And a small hoof-like pit was instantly left in the rock, which is called by later generations as the Hoof Print of Magic Horse.

         The white horse of Long liked galloping and playing on high mountains best, particularly hunted for grass near Family He’s Village. Standing at the top of the mountain, it gazed at the fogs and clouds, or galloped in the forest. Long played with the white horse and found a very broad gentle slope on the mountain top. The air was fresh. Many wild tea trees were growing. So he called on the villagers nearby to reclaim more than a thousand mu of land and planted local tea trees and named it as “Pegasus Tea Plantation”. The farm exclusively supplied the tea of Family Long. And some best tea was presented to the imperial palace as a tribute.

        Through his life, Long had tried his best to render meritorious services to the state and aimed to serve the emperor for his favor. He was thus conferred the title of General Commander Left Governor by the emperor. For years, both Han and Yi people lived in peace and contentment, business activities flourished, and honesty prevailed so that doors were unbolted at night. His conduct and philosophy of life were praised by people at home and abroad. His hard work could not be neglected. His great achievements and amazing legends are now still spread in such places as Wumeng, Zhanyi, Wuding and Yizuo. He is deeply loved and respected by the people. The “Pegasus Tea Plantation” and its products have taken on a new look after its discovery by Long Tianyou and inheritance, technical innovation and development of Yiyang Agriculture.
